Anji Bai Cha is a work of ART. It is a famous Chinese green tea from Anji County in Zhejiang Province. Only selected buds with a few young leaves are carefully picked and processed by hand. The leaves of the cultivar "Bai Ye No.1" for Anji Bai Cha have distinctive white appearance when picked, hence this tea has been sometimes mistakenly described as white tea. The cultivar has been known since 1981 when the white mother bush was discovered in Anji County. Happy times.

Leaf: Perfectly shaped long, light green bud and leaf – into sort of two fork shape. Aroma of green veg such as courgettes, spinach, green pepper with huge notes of cocoa and nutmeg.
Infused leaf: Beautifully bright green almost yellow needles. Aroma of courgette, sweet peas and nutmeg persist.
Liquor: Crystal clear, very light & bright yellow-green cup. Aroma sweet and vegetal. Mouth-feel silky, crisp and round with notes of courgettes, sweet peas and cocoa. After-taste is beautiful floral and sweet and very gentle. No acidity, no astringency.

"Litlle Poetry" by JD

"Put the bright green wellies on
and listen to the soft wind sound
the morning dew on grass is gone
nowhere to be found.
See, your tiny garden grow
green peppers, courgettes & marigolds
from the river up to the bungalow
like a gold serpent slowly unfolds.
Let the sun toast your cocoa skin
chew on nutmeg & answer with a grin"
