Silver Needle is one of the rarest and most spectacular teas. The production of this tea merely makes up not even 0.1% of the tea produced in China. This needle shaped white tea is mainly produced in Fujian, China, which is famous for the outstanding quality of their white teas. To produce Silver Needle which is made exclusively from shoots that have not yet opened (this is where white tea reaches perfection). The tea then has to undergo the long-hour withering and sun drying. The unique processing steps is the tea is packed right after drying while still warm. This is vital to preserve its needle shape. When brewed, the buds point upwards, then the water-absorbed buds gradually sink downward to the bottom. Premium white tea is of jade colour (pale green). If the withering process is not properly conducted because of the tea is over dried, the colour of leaf will change into a grayish, yellowish or sometimes brownish and its flavour is obviously affected. The best Silver Needle tea is made only from straight hairy buds of jade colour.

DRY LEAF: Large, needle like buds of a soft green colour, covered with silver hairs. Gentle floral aroma of wild flowers and dry hay mingles with herbaceous flavours of mint, thyme and clove. The buds are soft and fluffy on touch.
INFUSED LEAF: Beautiful silvery-jade buds releasing an aroma of plums, wood and vanilla.
LIQUOR: Light, soft and clear moonstone gem like liquid. Deliciously smooth, delicate and harmonious cup with notes of wild flowers, sweet vanilla, honeydew melon, mirabelle plums and heavy butter creaminess. Pleasantly wild and uplifting liquor with no astringency and fresh and sweet banana after-taste.

"Litlle Poetry" by JD

"In your dream, you see a silver forest, full of hairy silver-ever-greens standing proud in a thick milky mist. They stand still, they're long and straight like soldiers in a line, yet a few of them are leaning towards each other. The mist has created a watercolour-like effect, painted freshly on a blank paper. The paper, you used previously for drying your herbs is saturated by them and the smell of mint, clove and sage is overwhelming.
The forest seems calm but it gives you an invigorating vibe. You walk deeper and deeper to it's core, where you see a soft, milky moon stone gem like pond amongst wild flowers. The moon glitters on top of the pond like a silver silky thread of a spider in bright morning sun. Fresh, spiky and hairy wild flowers and orchids are scattered widely around the pond and the aroma is floral and spicy.
You hear a whisper in your mind: “The forest shall not survive long for it's made entirely of one type of tree, drink my water and heal me”.
Slight darkness spreads in your mind inch by inch, but it's quickly suppressed by your light. You let go and drink the incredible smooth, creamy and velvety liquid. The taste is incredible, it's saturated by the orchids growing around, honeysuckle, vanilla, milk chocolate and sweet honeydew melon. It remains in your mind for a long period of time.
You feel so refreshed, wild, open-minded and somehow very different.
You hesitate but then look quickly into the pristine pond. Instead of your resemblance you see a seed with a sprouting leaf ready to be planted.... then... everything fades."
