  • Ambiance

Made by a small studio in Jingdezhen, this ceramic teapot is fired at a high temperature. The finish is half glazed and half unglazed. The inside is unglazed and the teapot has a wee ceramic hole ball filter with 21 holes. The colours are mysterious. It's like if a dark green moss settled on a slightly purple mountain rock. The teapot is light and perfect to hold.

Inside Story

Jingdezhen is a prefecture-level city, in north-eastern Jiangxi province, China. It is known as the "Porcelain Capital" because it has been producing Chinese ceramics for at least 1,000 years, and for much of that period Jingdezhen porcelain was the most important and finest quality in China. The city has a well-documented history that stretches back over 2,000 years.
