    A word to mention about fantastic Menghai Tea factory as it has been seen as the benchmark for all Pu Er teas. It was founded in 1940 and it is one of the first two factories to make "ripe/shu" puer tea in 1973 (the other one was Kunming TF). Unlike any other tea Puer tea is better with age and this particular mushroom tops were made in 2005!
    Pu Er tea is compressed into various shapes. Tuo Cha is referring to the shape like mushroom top. The “mini tuo cha” is compressed into 5-6g per piece. Each piece of mini tuo cha is individually wrapped in paper, so it is very handy to carry around and brew in nature or when you travel.

    DRY LEAF: Compressed velvety brown leaves and golden buds into tiny mushroom top. Mellow fragrance of cherry wood, vanilla and stewed meat.
    INFUSED LEAF: Infused leaves are of deep chocolate colour with strong aroma of sweet cherry, dates and chocolate.
    LIQUOR: The liquid has coffee like colour, it's brilliantly deep and thick. Aroma is like old books (library) and vanilla. The mouth-feel is excellent, complex, rich and full-bodied with a mellow red bean paste taste, decaying wood and hints of bitter chocolate. After-taste is velvety with sweet persistence of caramel. There is no acidity in the cup & little astringency. The tea is well balanced, smooth and sweet. Only for Gourmet people :)
