  • Ambiance

Made by a small studio in Jingdezhen, this ceramic cup is fired at a high temperature. The finish is glazed with glossy glaze. The cup is a little textured on touch. Elegant shades of orange-grey colour are disturbed by black ink bacteria-like spots. The cup is light and perfect to hold.

Inside Story

Jingdezhen is a prefecture-level city, in north-eastern Jiangxi province, China. It is known as the "Porcelain Capital" because it has been producing Chinese ceramics for at least 1,000 years, and for much of that period Jingdezhen porcelain was the most important and finest quality in China. The city has a well-documented history that stretches back over 2,000 years.
