Liquor: Bright and clear liquor with a vivid colour of marmalade. Smooth, rich and warming cup with a mellow astringency. Aroma of exotic pine wood, incense, fireplace and Talisker whisky. Aftertaste has strong smoky notes and dark chocolate that linger on the palate.

About: With more than 400 years of history, it was said that Lapsang Souchong is the world’s first black tea. Zheng Shan Xia Zhong “small leaf variety” is the original name. It was produced as early as during the Qing Dynasty in Tong Mu a small village that sits amidst the WuYi Shan mountains in Fujian, where the Jiang family created it and produced it for more than 24 generations.. Dated back to 1604, the Dutch imported Lapsang to the West where it also attracted the great interests of the Royal families in the United Kingdom. It was regarded as a precious medical product and sold at pharmacies.
