  • Ambiance

Made by a small studio in Jingdezhen, this ceramic teapot is fired at a high temperature and glazed on the outside only. There is a wee ceramic ball filter with multiple holes inside to keep the tea leaves at bay. The abstract design of random brown brush strokes is combined with beautiful engraving. The teapot is light and perfect to hold. Made in Jingdezhen. Pours well without dripping!

Inside Story

Jingdezhen is a prefecture-level city, in north-eastern Jiangxi province, China. It is known as the "Porcelain Capital" because it has been producing Chinese ceramics for at least 1,000 years, and for much of that period Jingdezhen porcelain was the most important and finest quality in China. The city has a well-documented history that stretches back over 2,000 years.
